Mary A. Dickinson scrapbook, 1861-1867, 1904, 1922.

A scrapbook of newspaper clippings (1861-1867) collected during the Civil War by Mary A. Dickinson. Sources of these clippings are not indicated, but are apparently from southern newspapers and reflect the viewpoint and attitude of the period of the Civil War. Pamphlet (1904) titled "Causes that Led to the War Between the States in 1860" by Mrs. Mary Singleton Slack, was given before the Albert Sidney Johnston Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, Louisville, Ky. Two tear sheets from the Richmond Times-Dispatch (1922) feature photographs and monuments of military leaders of the Confederate States of America.
